Cigars are heavily regulated commodities. Different countries or jurisdictions maintain unique regulations regarding the import, taxation, customs clearance, and physical receipt of tobacco products.

While Rain City Cigar endeavors to provide the clearest possible explanations regarding shipping, fees, and taxes on our platform, customers remain fully responsible for verifying their local regulations concerning the purchase, import, clearance, taxation, and receipt of tobacco products prior to completing any order.

Shipping Methods

Rain City Cigar will arrange the most appropriate shipping method based on the order contents, destination, product quantity, specifications, and prevailing logistical conditions. The available shipping methods, estimated transit times, and associated costs will be calculated and clearly displayed on the shopping cart and checkout pages.

Processing & Shipping Times

Orders enter our fulfillment sequence immediately upon payment confirmation. Actual dispatch timelines may vary due to stock availability, overall order volume, warehouse processing capacity, public holidays, or carrier schedules. In the event that an item in your order is temporarily backordered, we will promptly reach out to you to confirm your preferred resolution.

Tracking Numbers & Delivery Progress

Once your package has been dispatched, Rain City Cigar will automatically transmit a carrier tracking number to your registered email address. Customers may utilize this tracking identifier to monitor their package directly on the designated carrier’s website. Please note that when a tracking number is newly generated, a minor delay in the carrier’s system synchronization is perfectly normal; complete data may not be immediately retrievable. The precise transit status, scanning history, and final delivery logistics remain subject entirely to the carrier's system records.

Standard Shipping Fees & Subsidies

Standard shipping costs are determined dynamically based on the total order value, product quantity, parcel dimensions, destination country, and selected shipping tier.

When an order meets a specific monetary threshold, Rain City Cigar may grant a standard shipping subsidy. The exact qualifying threshold, subsidy value, and net shipping balance due will be clearly detailed on the shopping cart and checkout screens. Please be advised that a standard shipping subsidy does not equate to a waiver of all international delivery expenditures. Full-box reinforcement fees, destination duties, customs clearance charges, remote area surcharges, or miscellaneous special tariffs are excluded from the scope of standard shipping subsidies.

Important Fee Notice

Full-Box Reinforcement Packaging & Handling Fee

Because full-box item configurations naturally demand greater physical volume and weight—and crucially require robust, reinforced structural packaging to shield them from structural damage during global transit—a specialized fee of $9.00 USD will be applied to each full-box item in an order.

To ensure absolute transparency and guarantee there are no hidden costs, this reinforcement and volume-handling expenditure will be listed as a completely separate line item on your shopping cart and checkout summary pages, and factored into the final grand total due.

Taxes & Customs Clearance

International jurisdictions frequently levy customs duties, excise taxes, value-added taxes (VAT), or administrative import surcharges on tobacco shipments, and may require the designated recipient to personally provide identification or clearance documentation.

Unless explicitly specified otherwise on a distinct promotional or event landing page, all destination taxes, localized customs protocols, compliance restrictions, and any secondary expenses or delays arising therefrom shall be borne exclusively by the customer.

Restricted & Non-Deliverable Regions

Owing to the strictly regulated nature of premium tobacco, certain countries or specific territories may forbid the delivery, clearance, or residential receipt of these products. If a designated order destination presents clear delivery constraints or legal compliance risks, Rain City Cigar reserves the right to decline or cancel the order, subsequently initiating an appropriate refund sequence based on the specific circumstances.

Customs Delays, Returns, or Seizures

Cross-border parcels may encounter unpredictable delays, forced return-to-sender actions, or official seizures due to border inspections, localized tax processing, incomplete recipient credentials, or specific regional legal updates. Should these situations arise, Rain City Cigar will naturally provide reasonable assistance in verifying your order credentials and dispatch files. However, we cannot influence or guarantee the operational outcomes or final determinations of foreign customs offices, postal networks, or destination regulatory bodies.

Before finalizing your purchase, please verify beyond doubt that your jurisdiction permits the lawful purchase, import, and physical receipt of tobacco products. Any and all liabilities arising from destination statutes, clearance issues, or local receipt limitations are the sole and absolute responsibility of the customer.
